Washing
- Add 1 tablespoon of shampoo to cold water. Soak for 5 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly (incomplete rinsing dulls the fiber)
- Gently blot with a towel. Do not squeeze, twist, brush or comb while wet
- Hang to air dry or place on a folding wig stand (avoid drying on a Styrofoam head)
Styling
- Avoid using heat styling tools like a blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron.
- To smooth or re-curl, use a round metal brush and the HUW Hair Steamer.
- For excess shine, use dry shampoo to dull

This wig is nothing but a permatease football helmet on me. I look like I stuck my finger in a light socket. I tried all my tricks to tame it but nothing I tried worked.

If you want the style exactly as shown, then this would be the wig to get. I’ve been wearing “Voltage” for years but the last couple have been so short and thin I decided to try “Trend Setter” as it looks similar but longer. I’m trying to eliminate some of the flipped out look and it won’t restyle. In the past, I’ve been very successful at putting my own personal look to my wigs but with this one, it just won’t work. The hair is quite thin except at the base so hard to work with. I’ve been wearing “Voltage “ in the same color for years ( R9S+ Mahogany) so at least it’s true to description and as shown in picture. I have to keep this one as I did some cutting trying to restyle. Guess I’ll have to keep looking.

I initially bought Trend Setter because it reminded me of the way I wore my hair when I was younger. Raquel’s Voltage wig struck me the same way. I purchased both wig styles in R829S+ glazed hazelnut, as well as SS8/29 shaded hazelnut (my two favorite Raquel Welch colors). When my husband saw me in my new Trend Setter wig, he gave me a surprised, admiring look. He told me he loved my hair, and that I looked just like I did back when we were dating. :) I got a similar response when I wore the Voltage wig. Naturally, I happily came back to Wigs.com the next day and bought two more of each wig in the same two colors.
