Petite Portia | Synthetic Wig (Mono Part)

I have two main styles and brands that I generally pick; this is one, the other is Envy. I like all my wigs once they have been washed a couple of times and have lost the shine and dropped a little. I tried the dry shampoo technique, but didn't see much difference in cutting the shine. I have to cut all my wigs, and I appreciate those on Y/T for showing us how. Unfortunately, I'm not always in the right frame of mind to do a good job, and it shows! Nevertheless, I don't want it looking too perfect, and I achieve that alright! :-)

I have tried a few shades; sometimes you just want to "be brave and be bold!" Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I have numbered the shades - but because I did a review on the Envy brand, which I numbered first, this starts at 7. (There seems to be a limit on the number of photos you can post I had to miss number 6 in the Envy brand). Number 9 is "just out of the box". You can see how it has to be trimmed.

I have included what I look like without my wig. Why? Why not? I'm not defined by my wig, but it does give me the confidence to get out of the door. If I feel better - I do better. "Do what works for you", that's my motto. Life is challenging on many fronts. Putting your best foot forward is easier for me when wearing my wigs. I ordered two wigs thinking I would be returning this one and I will be returning the other. This wig is a great fit and is actually comfortable compared to the other eight I have tried on in the last two months since I shaved my head. The color marble brown is my natural color with highlights pretty much. If you have a petite head and a high forhead this is a great choice. There is perma tease but I couldn't find a petite wig with bangs without it. It's not too much. Wigs.com delivered this fast. I don't know how the returns process will be but I hope it's okay. I plan on returning the Miley small mono, I looked at it and knew it was too long.

Love/hate this wig. Fits my petite head, I had the bangs thinned and cut and hair plucked from the part. The color, Mochaccino is a bit ashey in some light. Was a Revelon wig now Rene of Paris and looks as though it might be discontinued because many colors are out of stock. Not terribly stylish but nice and neat with good movement. One of my first wigs and I didn’t want a lot of height because I was so used to my flat hair on top. It’s on sale so I’m trying a color with a bit of red in it. We’ll see how that goes.
